A geological satellite faculty for The University of Copenhagen based in the old sugar factory in Møn. This project is a renovation and a transformation of the old headhouse for the sugar factory. The transformation is based on old drawings and pictures of how the factory used to look. The old tanks with rounded edges has been reinterpreted as laboratories and classrooms and the rafters has been taken in new use, as fundament for the new open atrium in the center of the building. The new atrium gives light and easy access to the entire building. The school can maintain 140 students, but lots of squaremeters are still not in definite use, so it creates possibilities for future development.
The blue lines in the drawings represents the existing, and the red lines represents the new.
